Manny Pacquiao will be taking on Timothy Bradley for the second rematch on 09 April 2016 at MGM Grand Las Vegas which will be HBO’s PPV event. “Top Rank” promotions are trying to put together a loaded undercard in a hope for better PPV results. With 2 and half months to go, Top Rank has already announced some exciting names who will be fighting on the undercard of the Pacquiao’s big night which is likely to be his last professional fight.
Pacquiao vs Bradley III Undercard Fights:
The confirm names for the under-card fights include featherweight Oscar Valdez who is set to face Evgeny Gradovichand while Jr welterweight Jose Ramirez who will be fighting Manuel Perez which might open the HBO PPV card. There are other names who are also confirmed but their opponents will be announced closer to the fight. Bob Arum has kind of accepted the fact that this PPV will be very hard to sell but he promised to load it up with atleast 1 big fight.
Below is the list of fights and fighters confirmed for the big showdown on Saturday, 09 April 2016. As the we move closer to the event we will be updating the post with any latest updates and confirmations of fights added to the card.
|1||Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley (WBO World welterweight title) – Confirmed|
|2||Oscar Valdez vs Evgeny Gradovich (non-title, 10 Rounder) – Confirmed|
|3||Jose Ramirez vs Manuel Perez (WBC Continental Americas super lightweight title) – Confirmed|
|4||Egidijus Kavaliauska vs TBA – (8 Rounder)Confirmed|
|5||Oleksandr Gvozdyk vs TBA (8 Rounder) – Confirmed|
|6||Possible big fight including some decent names|
One would have imagine that since this Pacquiao-Bradley III is likely to be a hard sell, Top Rank would like to add at least 1 big fight on the undercard to get through some decent sales. Which is still possible of course but there are not many options for Top Rank to get decent fighters at the moment.
Having said that in Oscar Valdez and Jose Ramirez people will get atleast two more exciting fights on the night. Jose Ramirez is very highly rated and he recently pulled off a 13,000 crowd in his last fight even though he is yet to face a top name.
We will be updating this post as soon as we get more details about how the undercard and preliminary fights are shaping-up. So do check back for more updates.
