Cricket Umpires Salaries:
Compared to Football referees in cricket even at the highest level which is ICC Elite panel, cricket umpires dont make huge sums of money in what is a very demanding job, considering 5 days standing in a test match. Last yeah Australia newspaper Herald published some insight into how the pay structure works for ICC Elite panel umpires. On average an umpire if choosen in elite panel are given out yearly contracts and paid a retainer fee (yearly salary) plus the match fees which is different for different formats of the game.
ICC Elite Panel Umpires Salaries:
Elite Panel was introduced back in 2012 and it is the official list of umpires on ICC panel who can officiate test matches around the world. Umpires are given out yearly contracts with Basic salary plus match fee and they are continuously monitored for performance.
The basic yearly salary is different for umpires in the elite panel and more experienced the umpire is higher the basic salary and match fees are. The minimum yearly salary for the newcomer in elite panel is $35,000 a year plus of course match fee and odi fee which are more a less same for everyone.

How Much in total umpires in elite panel can make ?
On average an umpire from elite panel stands in 8-10 Test matches & 10-15 ODIs matches in a year which means their total income from one year can reach around $90,000 to $100,000 and it can jump even further if their is some ICC official tournament like the 2015 50 over world cup.
Steve Buckner was one of the greatest umpires in cricket and according to Herald (Australia Magazine) towards the end of his career he was making around $120,000 a year from ICC Salary, match fees and some sponsorship.

International Panel Umpires Salaries 2015:
Thats just the elite panel which has selected group of umpires at a very highest level what about secondary ICC panel (International Panel) umpires and the first class level who are affiliated with local cricket boards.
In ICC International Panel umpires panel the salary is pretty small compared to the one in elite panel. They are paid on match to match basis and there is no annual contract or basic salary. But they do get free travel and accomodation with ICC.
