Chelsea are set to host Manchester City in the Premier League game on Saturday, 30th September 2017 at Stamford Bridge and its billed as title clash as both teams are genuine premier league title challengers. Antonio Conte and his Chelsea side have turned things around since opening day defeat in the hands of Burnley winning all the games in different competitions bar one against Arsenal. Manchester City on the other hand are playing some top notch football which set this up as classic defense vs attack type of a game. It will be a late kickoff on Saturday starting at 17:30 uk time and BT Sports will have live coverage in the UK.

Match Preview: Pep Guardiola will be hoping to get the better of resurgent Chelsea side on Saturday in a game between two title rivals. A positive result in this game can a have major psychological impact on the winning team but we can safely assume both managers will be happy with a draw.
Manchester City will be without Sergio Aguero who broke his rips in freak taxi accident in Amsterdam while Mendy is also ruled out for pretty much rest of the season. Guardiola will now have to rely heavily on Gabriel Jesus and makeshift back four which will make Chelsea slightly favourites going into the game.

Manchester City 1-2 Chelsea Highlights
[ Premier League 2016-17 Season ]
45′ 1 – 0 Gary Cahill was unlucky as ball deflected off him into the back of the net as City took the lead. Overall Chelsea looked slightly more compact of the two but as far as chances were concerned both teams had their fair share in first half.
60′ 1 – 1 Diego Costa scored in 60th minute to put Chelsea back in the game.
70′ 1 – 2 Willian came on as second half sub to make the all important difference scoring his team second and putting them 2-1 up at Etihad.
Man City, having played their most important game in the midweek against PSG, will be looking to freshen up the squad by putting in some fringe players in the starting lineup. This is how i expect both teams to lineup on Saturday.
Match Predictions: City defeated Chelsea 3-0 in the premier league fixture back in August 2015 while Chelsea’s 5-1 win over City was against pretty much under-21 team. Overall fixtures between these two sides have been very competitive in last couple of seasons and I expect another close game on Saturday. I just fee Chelsea might be fresher of the two combine that was City’s dodgy away form I am going with a 2-1 win for Chelsea.
Last match review: Manuel Pelligrini started with several youngsters in the FA Cup fifth round tie against Chelsea which he described as “not a real match”. Chelsea on the other hand were in full strength and took the lead through Costa but Faupala made it 1-1 just before the break. Chelsea came out stronger in the second half and scored two goals in space of 5 minutes to take 3-1 lead while Hazard and Bertrand Traore scored to make it 5-1. watch match highlights of the game here.
Manchester City dominated Chelsea in the opening 45 minutes and they took the deserved lead just after the half hour mark when De Bruyne’s pass deflected into Aguero’s path who unleashed a superb drive past Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois to make it 1-0. City missed couple of easy chances to take the lead in first half. De Bruyne was guilty of missing a sitter when Yaya Toure sent him through on goal but he scuffed his shot. While Nasri failed to finish from a close angle when Courtois rushed him on what was a decent chance.
Sergio Aguero was in absolute superb form and he grabbed his second of the day just after the half time to pretty much end the contest. Thibaut Courtois was sent off for late lunge on Fernandinho resulting in penalty which Aguero converted to complete his hattrick.
