Tottenham Hotspurs started their league campaign against Everton at Goddison Park and it proved to be a difficult game for Spurs who found themselves 1-0 down inside first 6 minutes when Ross Barkley’s long range freekick found its way past Lloris. Spurs lost their keeper after slight injury and they never looked in control as far as the first 45 minutes were concerned. While Koeman’s Everton looked compact at the back and dangerous on counter attacks. Erik Lamela brought spurs back into the game with a goal at hour mark.

Everton vs Tottenham Preview: Tottenham are expected to start with their full strength team where Harry Kane will start upfront while Dele Alli, Lamela and Erikson will start in attacking roles Dier to start in central midfield alongside new signing Wanyama. Everton on the other hand will be hoping Lukaku to regain full fitness as he is a doubt going into opening day fixture.
Alot has changed at Everton since the disappointing last season. Ronaldo Koeman is new Everton manager while they have signed couple of exciting players. Tottenham on the other hand will be hoping for a strong start to the season which sets up this game as one to watch out for.
United struggling, Chelsea and Liverpool highly inconsistent leaving Spurs with a superb chance of not only securing a top 4 finish but might just allow them to have a crack at premier league title race.
Team News & Lineups: Tottenham has only lost once away from home this season and Everton are struggling at home only winning three matches so far. Which kind of maks spurs slightly favourites for this sundays encounter. Mauricio Pochettino is expected to name strong lineup with 5 man midfield of Eric Dier, Tom Carroll, Erik Lamela, Dale Alli and Eriksen. While Harry Kane should continue as lone forward. Everton on the other hand will be hoping Lakuku can continue his amazing goal scoring run alongside Barkele, Mirallas and Deolofeu playing in attacking roles. This is how I expect both teams to lineup.
