Asian Champions Australia are a decent side but when they come up against top european nation in this case current World Champions not many people expect them to get anything out of this game against a well oiled mechine that is German national team. However Australia do have ability to frustrate teams and if they can get away without conceding early and take Germany deep into second half being still in the game they can pull off a surprise result. In reality they will be over the moon with even a draw but considering Germany are playing full strength I expect them to cruise through this game.
Looking at the past two meeting between the two which were friendly games, Australia got the better of Germany back in 2011 when a 2-1 win in Monchengladbach was followed by another 2-2 draw in 2015 both in Germany. However, when it comes to competitive football Germany are a total different beast. With Germany leaving out some key players with the likes of Hummels, Boeteng, Ozil, Kroos, Muller and Neuer it is a wonderful oppertunity for some of the youngsters to perform and stake a claim on the road to World Cup next year.
Match Predictions: History suggest it could be a tight game looking at the past couple of friendly meeting between the two and combine that with Germany coming into this game with a very young and in-experience team Australia might fancy their chances to get somthing out of this match. Im going with narrow win for Germany with possible a late winner.
