MotoGP season moves to Japan where we will have round 15 of 2017 season at the famous Motegi circuit this weekend starting from Friday, 12 October 2017 with the opening two practice sessions followed by Saturday’s qualifying leading to the big race on Sunday, 15th October 2017. Marc Marquez is leading the championship with 224 points, 16 ahead of nearest rival in Andrea Dovizioso who has 208 points with 4 grand prix wins. Marquez can take a big step towards his 4th world title if he can win in Japan and hope to stretch the lead further.
Marc Marquez leads the championship with massive 248 points, thats 52 points ahead of Rossi and a win in Japan will put Marquez just within touching distance of winning his third MotoGP world title. With only four races remaining including Japanese Grand Prix, Italian Maestro Rossi need a miracle if he were to get back in title race while defending Champion Jorge Lorezno has been underwhelming for most part this season.
Japanese MotoGP Qualifying: Rossi had good couple of days in Japan as he recorded the fastest lap times both in practice and the qualifying clinching pole position which will give him some advantage in Sunday’s race. The scenario is simple, Rossi not only need to win the race but also hope Marquez get a bad luck and fail to finish in points positions to reduce the points gap.

Marc Marquez finished third in the qualifying and that is pretty much acceptable considering he has a left-hand injury with a broken bone. So in reality you can rule him out making any major challenge for the front two but that he is Marquez you can not predict thing with him. Japan MotoGP 2015 Race Results: The main focuse of Japanese grand prix 2015 was the dual between the first two on the grid Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. Where Lorenzo had the better of Rossi with 3 seconds lead going into the last 6 round but Pedrosa and Rossi overtook Lorenzo with 5 laps to go with when Lorenzo made a mistake and went wide.
