Marc Marquez has won the 2016 Japanese Grand Prix in Motegi which ultimately clinched his third world title at the age of just 23 making him the youngest to do so. Rossi and Lorenzo failed to finish the race while Andrea Dovizioso and Maverick Vinales finished on the second and third respectively on the podium.
This was Marc Maquez 5th grand prix win of the season but it was down to his consistant finishes on the podium which sealed his third title. He has 273 points after Japanese grand prix thats 76 points ahead of closes rival Rossi who failed to add any points to his tally in Japan. With only three races remaining Marquez was crowned champion for the third time in the four years hes been racing in premier clash.
Valentino Rossi will start in the pole position in Sunday’s Japanese MotoGP Grand Prix 2016 at the famous Motegi circuit. He recorded the fastest qualifying time ahead of Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo. Rossi and Lorenzo must outscore Marcquez from now to end of the season consistently if they were to get back in title race.
Marc Marquez leads the championship with massive 248 points, thats 52 points ahead of Rossi and a win in Japan will put Marquez just within touching distance of winning his third MotoGP world title. With only four races remaining including Japanese Grand Prix, Italian Maestro Rossi need a miracle if he were to get back in title race while defending Champion Jorge Lorezno has been underwhelming for most part this season.
Japanese MotoGP Qualifying: Rossi had good couple of days in Japan as he recorded the fastest lap times both in practice and the qualifying clinching pole position which will give him some advantage in Sunday’s race. The scenario is simple, Rossi not only need to win the race but also hope Marquez get a bad luck and fail to finish in points positions to reduce the points gap.

Marc Marquez finished third in the qualifying and that is pretty much acceptable considering he has a left-hand injury with a broken bone. So in reality you can rule him out making any major challenge for the front two but that he is Marquez you can not predict thing with him.
