Manchester United visited Liverpool in what regarded as the biggest game in English football and it turned out to be a typical Mourinho performance by United. They setup with 5 man midfield and played Liverpool to their game counter pressing in first half making it difficult for Liverpool to have anytime on the ball at Anfield. United had better of the opportunities but Ibrahimovic failed to hit the target. Game finished as 0-0 with De Gea’s couple of saves as the highlights of the game.

Jurgen Klopp Post Match Interview:
Liverpool vs Manchester United Preview: Liverpool are coming into this game on the back of impressive 7 game undefeated and winning their last four league match which put them right into the title race with 16 points, only two behind leaders Manchester City. Jurgen Klopp side are real contendards for the premier league title this season having already disposed of Arsenal and Chelsea while playing out a respectable 1-1 draw against Spurs. United on the other hand are 6th in the table with 13 points so far and they must win this game to remain in the title race so the pressure is on United who dropped points against Stoke City before the international break.
Team News: Mourinho has been critical of the timing of this game as United play on Thursday followed by another game on Sunday afternoon against Chelsea. United has kind of dominated Liverpool in this fixture even in the last three years where they were not at their best and now with wealth of talent at their disposal fans were hoping for a better results but somehow United has made a worst start under Mourinho than Van Gaal’s last season.
Liverpool are likely to go with a Firmino upfront as lone striker while Coutinho and Lallana to play in attacking roles behind the Brazilian. James Milner, Henderson and .Lucas Laiva to play in central midfield roles. This is how I expect both teams to lineup.
Predictions:Louis Van Gaal seems to know how to beat Liverpool as in the 4 games he has played against them United has won all of them. But this Liverpool side is a tough nut to crack since Klopp took over, victories over other big teams like City do make Liverpool a team with considerable threat. I expect Liverpool to win But United might go through since they are playing second leg at home.
