Massive game for both end of the table as Newcastle hosted Man City in the premier league game on tuesday night, 19th April a St James Park. Newcastle needed a win to keep their chances of survival alive while Manchester city has United right up their tails for champions league positions. City took the lead when Aguero headed home from close range in 14th minute but Anita brought Newcastle back in the game with a superb finish.
Newcastle will feel disappointed as Aguero’s who was clearly offside when he headed home the opener to put City in lead. But Newcastle who are in deep relegation trouble found a way back in the game with Anita turned inside from right flank and produced a low drive scoring at the far post.
The game was 1-1 at the break and Newcastle were right in the mix as they tried to exploit home advantage in what might go down as the turning point of their season.

Newcastle United on the other hand are winless and second from bottom with no wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats in the opening 7 games and Steve McLaren could not have had worse start as a Newcastle United manager. They also surrender a 2-0 lead against Chelsea last week which ended up 2-2 and Newcastle struggled to hold on to even a draw but they can take a few positives away from that fixture going into the City encounter.
Team News & Possible Lineups: City are seating over the fitness of Yaya Toure and David Silva after both of them struggled to finish the game against Gladbach in midweek, Toure is confirmed to miss the Newcastle United game while Silva might play some part. Mangala is set to partner Otamendi in the central defence with skipper Kompany missing through injury. Newcastle United are likely to retain the same lineup which took the field against Chelsea with Perez and Mitrovic.
