Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United side hosted Turkish side Fenerbahce in the Europa League game this Thursday night and they finally turned up in a European game this season scoring three goals in first half and pretty much settling the tie. United’s first two goals came from penalty spot with Martial and Pogba stepping up to score while Pogba made it 3-0 just before the break as United went into cruise mode.

Match Highlights (English)
United have a uphill battle in Premier League where top four finish will be hard to achieve but winning Europa League will automatically award United a berth in group stages of Champions League. It seems every game United are involved in has some sort of story attached to it and this time is Robin Van Persie’s return to Old Trafford. United will be slightly more confident going into the game having gone 5 games without a defeat and win against Fenerbahce will put them right at top of this difficult group.
Team News & Lineups: Jose Mourinho is set to make several changes in starting lineup starting in goal where Sergio Romero is expected to start in place of De Gea who will be rested after his superb performance against Liverpool. Timothy Fosu-Mensah signed a new four-year deal with the club and he will start at right back while Eric Bailly and Smalling should keep their places in starting lineup alongside returning Luke Shaw. Michael Carrick is set to start in midfield alongside Marouane Fellaini and Henrik Mikhitaryan while Mata, Lingard and Wayne Rooney to start behind Ibrahimovic or Marcus Rashford.
As far as Fenerbahce are concerned they will start with Van Persie and Emmanuel Emenike upfront while Alper Potuk and Volken Sen to play in attacking roles. This is how I expect both teams to lineup on Thursday night.
Match Predictions: United have been struggling in europe so far where they have only scored two goals in two games but considering the talent available at their disposal its been pretty underwhelming. Mourinho however will be happy to give some of the fringe players a chance on thursday and United playing at home should do enough to win three points.
