Championship side MK Dons hosted Chelsea in the fourth round of FA Cup and it turned out a very predictable result with Chelsea cruising to a comfortable win to extended their unbeaten run. Brazilian player Oscar scored hattrick of goals to get Chelsea to a 3-1 lead. Darren Potter was on target for MK Dons which pretty much was consolation goal for the home side. Hazard and Traore scored in second half to make it 5-1 for Chelsea.
Chelsea 4-1 MK Dons Match Highlights:
[ FA Cup 2016 – Fourth Round ]
16′ 0 – 1 Cost squared a simple pass for Oscar to get Chelsea 1-0
22′ 1 – 1 Darren Potter brought MK Dons back into the game with a surprise equalizer
32′ 1 – 2 Oscar scored his second of the day with a similar finish to the first one.
44′ 1 – 3 Oscar completed his rare hattrick with a superb effort from the edge of the box
55′ 1 – 4 (pen.) Eden Hazard got himself on the scoresheet with a penalty
Diego Costa and Hazard are doubtful for MK Dons clash which means Loic Remy might get the nod to start upfront alongside Pedro, Willian and Oscar playing in attacking midfield roles. Matic and Fabregas set to take midfield roles. Guus Hiddink might make a few changes in the Back four with Terry and Ivanovic rested for the game and Baba Rehman, Cahill, Zouma and Cesar Azpilicueta to lineup in the back four. Tibout Courtois is also set to be name on the bench which means Begovic will play in goal.
MK Dons on the other hand will be without Baker and Upson and they are likely to start with the similar 4-2-3-1 system against Chelsea. Church to play upfront with William, Murphy and Hall to play in attacking roles. This is how I expect both teams to lineup on Sunday.
Match Predictions: Chelsea has kind of turned the tables after Mourinho’s departure as they are still unbeaten in all competitions since Guus Hiddink took over. They are playing with alot more purpose and also defending as a unit. Looking at the recent form of both teams I can’t see MK Dons troubling Chelsea whatsoever specially if Diego Costa is fit to start upfront. MK Dons might make life difficult for premier league champions but I find it difficult to predict MK Dons stoping Chelsea for 90 minutes. I am going with a comfortable 3-1 win for Chelsea in this one.
