Real Madrid took on Polish side Legia Warsaw in the Champions League group F game on Tuesday night and Zidane’s side produced a superb first half performance where they scored three goals and should have had more. Gareth Bale Opened the scoring in just 16th minute with a neat cut inside and left foot finish while Marcelona’s deflected shot made it 2-0. Warsaw got themselves back into the match when Miroslav Radovic scored from penalty spot but Asensio’s strike from the edge of the box restored 2 goal lead for Real.

Real Madrid 4-1 Legia Warsaw Highlights
[ UEFA Champions League 2016-17 ]
16′ 1 – 0 Gareth Bale scored with a stunning strike after he cut inside from the left flank and hammered past Legia keeper to make it 1-0.
20′ 2 – 0 Tomasz Jodlowiec was unlucky as Marcelo’s strike deflected off him in the back of the net.
22′ 2 – 1 Miroslav Radovic scored from the spot after he was brought down inside the box.
37′ 3 – 1 Marco Asensio restored Real Madrid’s 2 goal lead before the break.
68′ 4 – 1 Lucas Vazquez came on second half sub to score Real Madrid’s fourth of the night.
Real Madrid defeated Sporting Lisbon in the opening fixture back in September with a last gasp goal from Morata while a 2-2 draw in Germany put both Madrid and Dortmund on 4 points each followed by Lisbon with three points. Legia Warsaw has been below par in the opening two games and its hard to expect anything but a big win for Real Madrid at Bernabeu. Zidane’s will be hoping his front trio of Ronaldo, Bale an Benzema get some form and goals if possible with important league and cup games coming up next.
Team News & Possible Lineups: Real Madrid are likely to lineup with their strongest possible team on Tuesday night with Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema playing upfront while Kovacic, Kross and Isco set to start in midfield. Dani Carvajal, Pepe, Varane and Marcelo to make the back four. Keylor Navas to keep goal for the home side.
Legia Warsaw on the other hand must win this game to keep their chance alive for qualification but it will be a uphil task against a very strong Real Madrid. Anything other than a defeat for Warsaw will be a historic result.
Predictions: Madrid should cruise through this game on paper and considering how badly Legia Warsaw has played so far. Depending on Zidane’s possible lineup and if Madrid score early it could turn out to be a long night for Legia who has already recorded heaviest defeat so far in Champions League when they were bundled at home by Dortmund with 6-0 scoreline. I am going with a comfortable 3-0 win for Real Madrid in this one.
