After Marc Marquez secured his third MotoGP premier class world title in Japan last week we move to Australia where Philip Island will host Australian MotoGP 2016 this Weekend from 21st October to 23 October. Not much to play for as far as top of the table is concerned with Marquez setting benchmark which will be hard to match for other riders. But arch rivals Rossi and Lorenzo will fight it for second place finish with just points separating the two.
Preview: After that incredible 2015 Australia grand prix where we had 13 changes in race leads and over 50 overtakes in what is widely regarded as one of the finest MotoGP grand prixs of recent era. But this year’s MotoGP in Australia has had a very underwhelming build compared to incredible scenario’s last season. But that does not take away the competitive nature of the sport.
There is still something to play for and bragging rights are at stake for second, third, fourth and fifth place. While Marquez will be riding without any pressure and we might see the reckless but exciting Marquez back this weekend.
Australian MotoGP 2016 Qualifying & Race Results: The coverage for Friday practice sessions begin at around midnight UK time while the Saturday’s motoGP qualifying sessions takes place at around 5am uk time. We will have the latest qualifying results right here on this page after the sessions are completed. As far as the race results are concerned they will be available after Sunday’s Australia MotoGP race finishes at around 7 am uk time on Sunday, 23 October 2016.
