Anthony Joshua will be facing Kubrat Pulev in his next heavyweight showdown where he defend his IBO, IBF and WBA heavyweight titles at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Its a massive fight where Joshua will be overwhelming favourite to win this and setup another title fight against Deontay Wilder in the United States. Kubrat Pulev is Bulgarian vatern with 26 fights under his belt with only 1 defeat so far in his carer. The fight is set to take place on Saturday, 28th October 2017 where Joshua is expected to clear another £8 to £12 million depending on PPV numbers in the UK.
Joshua vs Pulev Purse Payouts: Kubrat Pulev will be getting his career best payday of around £2 million. Pulev also announced that half of his purse will be donated to local Bulgarian charity. His previous big money fight was against Wladimir Klitschko back in 2014 where he cleared and estimated $1.5 million from the fight where Klitschko was A side taking home 80/20 split of $7.5 million disclosed purse.
Anthony Joshua has been producing good numbers on PPV and he can claim himself to be a bon-fide PPV star atleast in the United Kingdom. His last 5 fights have been PPV events while his most recent fight against Wladimir Klitschko back in April 2017, racked in record PPV buys in the UK. Eddie Hearns claimed that Joshua vs Klitschko PPV numbers were around 1.5 million. Now obviously it will be stupid to think Joshua-Pulev can match anywhere near Klitschko-Joshua numbers but we do expect this fight to generate better viewing than Joshua’s previous three PPV events.
