British boxer Kell Brook is set to make his third title defense of IBF Walterweight against Mandatory Canadian boxer Kevin Bizier. Brook is mighty favourite to win this one and was widely criticized for not going for a bigger fight. SkySports will broadcast (non-ppv) the fight card live in the UK on their normal channels available to all subscribers this Saturday, 26th March 2016. There are number of other fights on the what is a very underwhelming undercard.
Kell Brook comes into this fight one the back of long, hard negotiations with Amir Khan for a potential mega fight but Khan instead choose to fight Canelo Alvarez in May which left Brook in no mans land. So we can in order to keep himself busy he took the fight against Mandatory Kevin Bizier where only nothing but a convincing win can get his chances of landing a big fight later in the year.
Brook vs Bizier Fight Night Schedule:
SkySports 1 HD will have the live coverage of the Brook-Bizier card starting at around 07:00 uk time from Sheffield Arena in Sheffield. The coverage will start with undercard fights which include the following bouts.
- Fight 1: Andy Townend v Craig Poxton @ 7:30 p.m uk
- Fight 2: Richard Towers v David Allen @ 8:20 p.m uk
- Fight 3: Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes @ 9:30 p.m uk
- Main-Event: Kell Brook vs Kevin Bizier @ 10:30 p.m uk
31 year old Kevin Bizier is a decent fight with a record of (25-2, 17 KOs) who comes into this fight one the back of defeating Fredrick Lawson back in november 2015. But having lost 2 of his last 5 fights Bizier has no chance of getting anything from this fight apart from career best purse. He has never fought anybody at top level and this will be his very first fight outside Canada/USA.
So its all set for another easy nights work for Kell Brook who is very confident of not only winning but looking good in doing so. His chances of mega Khan fight later in the year depend alot on how Khan-Canelo fight goes and there are rumours Brook has Danny Garcia as alternative if Khan won’t fight him.
