Both McGregor and Mayweather announced the fight via their official social media channels and Athletic Commission also put the fight in their caledar which means McGregor has got the boxing license and all-go for this massive fight. It will be an PPV event set to be broadcasted by “Showtime” in the US and tickets information will be available after the first press conference scheduled towards the end of June 2017.
Mayweather-McGregor Fight Is One: After months and months of speculations the fight between MMA star Conor McGregor and one of the all-time great undefeated boxing champion Floy Mayweather has finally been made, signed and confirmed for 26th August 2017. Its a unique fight which has never been done before it is expected to be a PPV hit both in the US and UK.
Its more of an exhibition match for outcome is pretty obvious considering there is no way Conor McGregor can match Floyd Mayweather’s boxing skills but both bring a lot of hype surrounding this fight. The success of this event depend entirely on how they sell the fight and public are not stupid enough to pay crazy money for what really is an exhibition match.

WHY ? | Since McGregor quoted that he will crush Mayweather in any fight. Mayweather has been obsessed in making him eat his words. On top of that if the fight between the two were to be made it will be highly lucrative in terms of revenue and Mayweather can clear as much as $100 million from a fight which he will definitely win. While McGregor has nothing to lose and will clear around $60 to $70 million. |
If the fight were to be made it will be a strictly boxing match and Conor McGregor will have shed atleast 25lbs to fight Mayweather. If that is the case there is no way Conor McGregor can hurt Mayweather when 49 other professionals boxers could not do. Having said that fight between the two makes alot of sense as far as Money is concerned and Mayweather is looking for another $100 million pay day in a fight where he will dictate everything.
Floyd Mayweather Snr on his son fight McGregor:
Having said that this is a proper mismatch and it might very well be the case of both fighters are using each others name to promote something else. This looks more like a dream than reality but looking at the money to be made from this potential fight and virtually no threat to Mayweather in terms of challenge since it will be a boxing fight we can not really rule it out.
This event is being held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
