Newly formed “Comosa AG” a boxing event promotion company has announced their initial plan for the “world boxing super series” tournament where 16 boxers across two different weight categories will fight for what could turn into most iconic boxing prize “Muhammad Ali Trophy” and share of $50 million prize money. We have put together all the details announced yet.
The weight classes yet to be announced are likely to be welterweight and middleweight. 8 boxers from each category will start the tournament in bracket format, starting from 4 quarterfinal matches to 2 semifinals and the big final. So thats 14 matches across both weight divisions. The winners of both finals will take home “Muhammad Ali Trophy” and the share of $50 million prize money fund which will be distributed among all 14 boxers depending how and where the finish the tournament.
Eventual winners in both categories can take home around $10 million each while rest of the $30 million will be distributed as guaranteed payments for every boxer in every match.
