Pakistan Super League has officially on the cards with 5 franchises sold for massive $93 million for next 10 years. Here is everything you need to know about the very first Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
Pakistan cricket board announced that the inaugural domestic T20 league called Pakistan Super League (PSL) will start from 04th February 2016 and will be played through 23 February 2016. 5 Teams has been sold as franchises on which will represent 5 major cities of Pakistan, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta. 5 teams combined franchise rights were sold for $93 million for 10 year period.
Pakistan T20 Super League – Team (Franchises)
Salman Iqbal the CEO of Ary Group bought Karachi team for $2.6 million a year for next 10 years making it the most expensive franchise in PSL. Lahore franchise was bought by Qatar Oil company for $2.4m. UAE Capital Venture bought Islamabad franchise for $1.5m. Long term PCB partner Haier Group paid $1.6 million to purchse Peshawar and Omar Associates spent $1.1 million to buy Quetta team.

Habib Bank will be PSL title sponsor for first three years:
Habib Bank Splashed out $1 million on securing title sponsorship for first three years Pakistan Super League. It is likely to be called “HBL Pakistan Super League”.
Broadcasting Rights:
PSL’s broadcasting rights for domestic coverage in Pakistan were sold to “Sunset+Vine” who will produce the live feeds. TenSports (English) and PTV (Urdu) will have live coverage of each and every game in the competition in Pakistan.
PSL Season 1 Venue:
Unlike previosly stated the first season of Pakistan Super League will take place in UAE from 4-23 February 2016. earlier it was reported that the competition will take place in Doha, Qatar. But PCB announced today that UAE has been confirmed as the venue for the first ever season of highly anticipated Pakistan Super League.
