India has defeated Pakistan in the World T20 yet again with Virat Kohli scoring a superb 50 to chased down a modest total of 119 in 18 allotted overs. MS Dhoni had put Pakistan to bat first after winning the toss but the pitch was a real turn off as Pakistan struggle to cope with Indian bowling. India in return lost three quick wickets early but Kohli’50 secured yet another important win for India in major competition against Pakistan.
India won the match by 6 wickets with 13 balls to spare. The game was delayed due to wet conditions and the match was reduced to just 18 overs. MS Dhoni picked several front line spinners in playing XI, won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first. Ahmad Shehzad and Sharjeel started slow and put on a 38 runs partnership for first wicket.

Afridi promoted himself to number 3 but it backfired as he struggled big time on turning wicket was was impossible to negotiate. In the end Umar Akmal 22 (16 balls) and Shoaib Malik’s (26 of 16 balls) helped Pakistan to a decent total of 118.
India lost Rohit Sharma to Muhammad Amir early while Muhammad Sami dismissed Dhawan and Suresh Raina on consecutive balls to setup a grand stand finish to the game. But Virat Kohli not only absorbed the pressure but played incredible shots on a pitch which was not easy to bat on.

Kohli scored impressive 55 runs of just 37 balls to guide india to 6 wickets win and keeping them alive in the World T20. India will now playing two games against Bangladesh and Australia and they need to win both to get through to the semifinals. Pakistan however will be disappointed not on their performance but the way Indian wickets are playing. It was a real shame to play such important T20 on square turning wicket where winning the the toss is lottery.
