Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel Wins Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix 2017 Race Results

April 13, 2017 By totalsportek2

So far Ferrari seem to have upped their game this season and look realistic challengers for both drivers and constructors titles. Vettel looks in great form and Hamilton will have to be consistent enough throughout the season if he were to win his fourth world title.

So far Ferrari seem to have upped their game this season and look realistic challengers for both drivers and constructors titles. Vettel looks in great form and Hamilton will have to be consistent enough throughout the season if he were to win his fourth world title.

Formula 1 season 2017 get into its full groove as we move to third grand prix of the season which takes place this weekend 14-16 April 2017 in Sakhir, Bahrain. Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton has won one grand prix a piece and they look set for a year round battle for F1 drivers championship. The weekend coverage start with Friday, 14 April 2017 practice sessions starting at around 13:00 uk time.

Bahrain Formula 1 Live stream Highlights
Last year Nico Rosberg won this grand prix but this season results will be far more unpredictable as the first two races suggest. So far Mercedes and Ferrari has set the pace while Red Bull are just lurking behind and if they can put their act together they can sandwich themselves between the top two teams..

Lewis Hamilton won the pole here last season and he will be slightly favourite to do the same in 2017 Bahrain grand prix. If you missed the live action, you can always tune in here for extended and short highlights after the Sunday’s big race.

Bahrain GP Qualifying: Lewis Hamilton earned the pole position in the Saturdays Bahrain Grand Prix qualifying while teammate Nico Rosberg finished second alongwith Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel third on the grid. Defending Champions Hamilton set 1:29.493 lap time just under one tenth faster than Rosberg. SkyF1 broadcasting will begin 1 hour before the official start of the race at 16:00 uk time. Below are some external links to Spanish and french coverage of the Bahrain grand prix. After the race results and highlights will be available on this page.

Another chaotic qualifying round was witnessed on Saturday where Hamilton put his authority on the track winning the pole position with 1min 29.493secs lap time. Mercedes made it one-two on the grid with Nico Rosberg finishing with a impressive 1:29.570 lap time.

Formula 1 2016 season started with a very eventful Australia grand prix where Nico Rosberg won the grand prix and continued his 2015’s tail end of the season form. Ferrari looked on fire in the opening few laps until Fernando Alonso’s accident halted their assult while new qualifying method was heavily criticized not being up to the mark. Now we move to middle-east where Bahrain will host second grand prix of the season.
With the win in Bahrain Grand Prix Nico Rosberg has made his intentions clear that he means business this year having missed out behind Hamilton for the title last season. Although if first race in Australia showed both Ferrari’s are much improved and will surely give Mercedes run for their money. McLaren still seems to be struggling while Williams and Red Bull are pretty much the same like last year which gives teams like Toro Rosso and Force India an opportunity to take over the usual 4th and 5th places regularly.

Unlike the earlier reports which suggested immediate change in the qualifying rounds, FIA and F1 has decided to keep the new qualifying system in place for atleast another race. The reason for not changing qualifying system was the fact that F1 stakeholders failed to reach unanimous decision for immediate change to take place. However these is one change where Q1 and Q2 will remain same but Q3 will have all teams on the track.

Australia grand prix made few fans excited after Ferrari blew away Mercedes in the opening exchanges but Mercedes came through stronger towards the end. Its hard to judge after only one race but we can safely assume that it won’t be as simple as last couple of years for Mercedes, Ferrari has improved but maybe not enough to get the better of Mercedes over the course of the season.
