Short Highlights:
FC Bayern Munich took on FC Porto in the Champions League quarter final second leg at Allianz Arena and Bayern Municn needed to win by 2-0 to secure their place in the next round as they lost the first leg by 3-1 margin last week. Bayern Got off to a perfect start with spanish player Thiago Alcantara scored in 14th minute to give Bayern Munich much needed opening goal.
Minutes later Jerome Boateng scored another for Bayern Munich which was quickly followed by Lewandowski goal in 27th minute and Bayern Munich were already out of sigh in the opening half and hour. This was a very contrasting performance from FC Porto compared to last week.
FC Porto were heavy underdogs going into the game and they really needed to take something to Allianz Arena and they got just that when another shocking piece of defending from Dante let Quaresma scored second of the night with a low finish past Manuel Neuer.
Jerome Boeteng produced a low cross just on the edge of the box which was converted in by Bayern Munich midfielder hiago Alcantara to get what looked like all important away goal and restore Bayern Munich revival.
But after the break home side started again on the front foot and put FC Porto under real pressure and another misjudged header from Boeteng this time left Jackson Martinez totally unmarked who beat Bayern Keeper and slotted home Porto’s third of the night and made it 3-1.
