Spanish La liga season fixtures has been revealed and defending champions Real Madrid start their campaign against Deportivo La Coruna while Barcelona play Real Betis at home.
La Liga 2016-17 Fixture – Release Date:
Usually spanish FA announce the official list of fixtures for the next season during the third week of July. This year we can expect the La Liga Fixtures to be officially announced on Thursday, 20 July 2017.
Spanish FA usually get a lot of pressure from Barcelona and Real Madrid before the official fixture announcement and provisional fixture list draft is sent to all 20 clubs who can request changes if necessary. La Liga fixtures are usually announced when both Real Madrid and Barcelona are happy with their schedule.
LA Liga 2017-18 Season Start/ End Dates ?
Traditional new La Liga season starts on the third weekend of August every year but since the world cup is taking place in the summer of 2018, Spanish FA has announced that 2017-18 La Liga season will begin earlier than usual dates. 2017-18 La Liga season officially begins on the weekend of 11-12 August 2017 and the final round of matches will be played on 13th May 2018.
