Premier League penalties statistics

Manchester City and Arsenal has won more penalties this season than any other team in premier league as of premier league week 26 (22 February 2015) Arsenal and City has been awarded 7 penalties each while Aston Villa has yet to win a penalty home or away while Southampton has not conceded a penalty so far this season. Below table show every teams penalty statistics so far in the season and which of the last 10 premier league season more penalties were awarded.

Premier League Penalties statistics:

So far in 2014-15 season 55 penalties has been awarded out of which 30 came for home teams and 25 for away teams 44 of 55 penalties were scored while 11 penalties were missed. In 2009-10 was the record season where 106 penalties were awarded. Since 1992-93 season home sides are awarded 63.77% of the penalties while the away sides got only 37.23%. Almost 85% of the time players managed to score while only 15% of the time keeper saved or player failed to score.

Penalties Statistics Since 2002-03 Season:

Manchester United has dominated the Premier league since 1992-93 season winning the league title 13 times under Sir Alex Ferguson. They are often critised for getting unfair penalty decision in their favour but looking at the statistics Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all have won more penalties than Manchester United, They are awared 45 penalties at old traffic since 2002-03 season while Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea has won more home penalties than United.
