All 20 Premier League clubs who will be playing in 2015-16 season got a massive boost as the new 3 year domestic tv rights deal from 2016 to 2019 was sold for staggering £5.136 billion which is almost double than the previous domestic deal. SkySports and BTSports went head to head in what turned out to be a massive bidding war as they tried to get the bigger packages and time for bidding was increased by premier league after two foreign companies jumped in with Qatar based Beinsports and EuroSport also trying to get some packages.
But Skysports came out as majority winners of Premier League packages which means they will have retained their 5 packages like last deal while BTSports also got more live matches in the three year deal.
