Some high profile stars from Music, TV and sports industries will get together yet again to be part of 2016 Soccer Aid match which will be taking place this Sunday, 05 June 2016 at Old Trafford. The match is set to kickoff at around 06:00 p.m uk time with ITV broadcasting the game live.
This charity match is themed as England XI vs Rest of the World XI and the final lineup has been confirmed and looking at the both teams there are plenty of world recognized celebrities and ex-footballers. Jose Mourinho was expected to manage England XI but due to his Manchester United commitments he has withdrawn from the role which means Sam Allerdyce will manager English XI while Leicester City’s premier league winning manager Claudio Ranieri will be managing the star studded rest of the world XI.
Team Lineups: England XI has the likes of Defoe, Murphy, Dyer, Jamie Carragher, Robbie Fowler. David Seaman and Sol Campbell as ex footballers while number of music and TV celebrities like Louis Tomlinson, Olly Murs, Mark Wright, Marvin Humes and Jamie Theakston.
As far as the Rest of the World XI is concerned that will feature number of greats like Fabio Cannovaro, Dida, Ronaldinho, Cafu, Jaap Stam, Dimitar Berbatov, Edgar Davids and Samuel Eto’o. While some celebrties from US like Damian Lewis and Iwan Rheon are other prominant names.
It is the 10th anniversary of “Soccer Aid” and it will be played at Old Tafford for the second time in three years. All receipts from this match goes to Unicef campaign of helping children with nutritious food, vaccines and clean wate around the world.
