Spain will be defending their UEFA European title which they won in 2012 in Poland & Ukrain. The 2016 Euro will be taking place in France and on this page you will find all the information leading upto the competition. With year and a half to go the qualifying round has already been started and there will be 24 teams of which France and Spain will qualifying automatically while other 22 teams will join through UEFA Euro Qualifying Round 2016. So lets start with the tournaments Logo and Mascot which has been unveiled.
UEFA Euro 2016 – Logo & Slogan
Portuguese agency Brandia Central helped design the official logo for “UEFA Euro 2016 France” it represent the Euro championship trophy wraped around colours of france flag, red, blue and white.
The idea behind the logo is “Celebrating the art of football”.
While the official slogan of the european championship is “Le Rendez-Vous” the vogue meaning is pehaps the celebration of football in ten french cities.
Official Mascot – Super Victor:
The official mascot of the tournament was unveiled 18th November 2014 and it represent a small child as a super hero named “Super Victor”
The Mascot was chosen by the french nations through a survey and “Super Victor” beat two other potential mascots named “Driblou” and “Goalix”.
You will see super victor mascot before and during every European championship match in June-July 2016.
He will be wearing French national kit with no.16 on the shirt. Also has a superman like scarf at the back. His boots and gloves represent the official logo colours and designs.
Super Victor is already one of the most highest selling toy for the kids in France and we can only imagin what it will be like during the European Championship.
