Arsenal took on Sunderland in the 2015-16 Premier League game this saturday afternoon and Arsene Wenger side had a chance to close the gap at top of the table as City lost earlier against Stoke. Joel Campbell 33rd minute strike put Arsenal 1-0 up but own goal from Giroud brought Sunderland back in the game. Giroud made amends in second half when he scored what would turn out to be the winner to secure all three points as Arsenal go second in the table behind Leicester City.
Arsenal 1-0 Arsenal started the game pretty off colour but Mesut Ozil opened Sunderland defense with a superb through ball which was converted by Joel Campbell as he beat Costel Pantilimon with a low hard finish to put Arsenal up and running with 1-0 lead.
Sunderland 1-1 Sunderland were back in the game with defelected freekick goal at the stroke of half-time to make things difficult for Arsenal. Yann M’Vila lined up the freekick which deflected off Olivier Giroud in the back of Arsenal net.
Arsenal 3-1: Arsenal scored their second goal of the game when french striker Olivier Giroud headed home after a superb cross from Aaron Ramsey in 63rd minute of the game.
