In the Italian Serie A top of the table clash defending champions and current league leaders Juventus visited Rome to take on AS Roma in what was a classic italian encounter. Juventus are comfortably top of the table with 9 points lead before the match and they played some superb football in the first half against Rome but failed to convert any of the chances, while Roma were resiliant at the back but going forward they were poor. Roma got a man sent off just before the break when Vasilios Torosidis got his marching orders for second yellow card.
After the break Juventus control the game throughout and took the lead through top scorer Carlo Tevez and it looked like all three points for Juventus but a late striker from Seydou Keita made it 1-1 and game turned on its head. Last 12 minutes after Roma scored the equalizer, home side turned the corner and put Juventus under good pressure and almost got the winning goal in dying moments of the match.
In the end Juventus were happy with an away draw and their maintained their 9 points lead at top of the table while Roma will be feeling the heat from third place Napoli side who are breathing down their neck for elusive second place finish which will ensure automatic qualification to Champions League next season.
