Austria started stronger against Hungary but they failed to captalise on the chances fell their way. Just like all the earlier game it was another very competitive and close game where Hungary took the lead after great start to the second half. Nice build up play and passing around the Austrian box Adam Szalai found himself one-on-one with keeper and put the ball in back of the net with nice out-side foot finish. Minute later Dragovic was sent off putting more misery on Austria and from than on there was only one winner.
Not many people had given Hungary a chance against Austria but they played like a unit and made it difficult for Austria who seem to crumble under pressure as the second half wore on. Adam Szalai goal in second half secured first win for Hungary.
Hungary 2-0 Austria Highlights
[ European Championship 2016 – Group F ]

Since their early exit back in 2008 Euros at home soil, Austria has come along way and now sit 10th in the FIFA ranking their highest ever and that is largely down to national team coach Marcel Koller who has installed a very strong mentality in the squad which makes Austria very difficult to beat. Historically Austria and Hungary has played around 137 times and Hungary has a better head to head record with 66 wins and 40 defeats, 31 matches has ended in draws.
Team News & Lineups: Marcel Koller has to make a decision on Gyorgy Garics involvement in the game who lost his father two days ago apart from that he has a full squad to choose from and we can expect the usual strong lineup which has done so well in the qualifying rounds.
Hungary on the other hand will be hoping Dzsudzsak can retain his form which saw him create 24 chances in the qualifying while Marcel Janko will have the goal scoring responsibilities.
Match Predictions: Austria has improved so much in the last few years and they will go into the game slightly favorite against Hungary. But looking at the results so far every game has been so competitive and I expect another close game on Tuesday night. Austria has that slightly better quality all around which might see them nick this one by a single goal.
