FC Barcelona took on Manchester City for the second time in two weeks and they started where they left off absolute bossing first half. It took just 20 minutes for Barcelona to open the scoring after they caught City on a superb counter attack and Messi finished off the move after beating couple of players on the edge of the box and slotted home with cool finish. City however got back into the game after a defensive mistake at the back caught Barcelona and Sterling picked out Gundogan unmarked at far post to equalize.

Match Highlights (English)
Having won their opening three games, Barcelon sit top of the Group C with 9 points and they can pretty much seal their qualification with another win or a draw against City on tuesday night. As far as City is concerned they need to get something out of this game as by the time they play matchday 5 against M’Gladbach German side might have overtaken them into second place. A defeat here for Pep Guardiola will put City’s chance of qualification to next round in serious trouble.
Team News & Lineups: Guardiola’s is likely to use his full strength side with Sergio Aguero playing upfront while De Bruyne, Silva and Sterling to start in attacking roles while Fernandinho and Ilkay Guendogan to start in central midfield roles
City has gone three competitive games without a win after that incredible 10 games winning streak at the start of Guardiola’s reign. But a defeat against Barcelona and a difficult game against Southampton in the midweek followed by United in League Cup present all new frontier for Pep who has never been in this kind of situation. Next couple of weeks can either make or put breaks on City’s campaign and it all starts with trip to Camp Nou.
Barcelona are set to start with Suarez, Messi and Neymar upfront while Busquets, Iniesta and Rakitic to play in central midfield. Vidal, Pique, Umtiti and Digne to play in defense.
Match Predictions: Barcelona has been troubled this season on consistant basis due to their all new defensive pairings at the back. Right back position has suffered the most with Dani Alves leaving the club whule Digne and Umtiti are yet to consolidate their positions in the back four. I can see City troubling Barcelona defense and scoring but with Neymar, Messi and Suarez upfront Barcelona should score more and get third consecutive win.
FC Barcelona hosted Manchester City in the Champions League group C game on Wednesday night and it turned out to be a cracking game at Camp Nou. City started without their talisman Aguero and that kind of handed the initiative to Barcelona before the ball was kicked. Messi raced to a lose ball in the box where Fernandinho slipped at crucial moment as Messi rounded Bravo to score his and Barcelona’s first of the night.
