Brazil took on Germany in the final of 2016 Olympics mens tournament and it turned out to be one of the best games of the Olympics tournament. Brazil started stronger and got the lead in first half when Neymar scored in just 27th minute to put the hosts 1-0 up. Brazil had several chances to double their lead but Germany hanged in there and got themselves back on level terms after the break when Max Mayer scored in 60th minute. Brazil went on to win the game on penalties with Neymar scoring the winning one.

That 7-1 defeat in semifinals against Germany has been the topic during the build up to the big final and rightly so as Brazil who though they will be playing the final of 2014 FIFA World Cup but Germans had different ideas as they not only defeated them but humiliated them in their own backyard. Now this is a different ball game and Brazil will go into the gold medal game slightly favorite.
Team News & Lineups: Trio of Gabriel Jesus, Barbosa and Neymar are set to start upfront while Renato Augusto, Wallace and Thiago Maia will take the central midfield roles. Douglas, Zeca, Marquinhos and Rodrigo Caio to make it back four for Brazil. Germans on the other hand will keep their strong XI with Nils Petersen playing upfront while Max Meyer, Julien Brandt and Gnabry to take attacking roles infront of Bender brothers.
This is how I expect both teams to lineup on Saturday night. Official lineups will only be released 1 hour before the kickoff
Brazil can not afford to lose this one as whole Brazil expect them to kind of revenge that 7-1 defeat two years ago. Having said that, Germans are world champions for a reason and looking at their Olympic squad you can help but notice most of the players are club regulars in germany. I expect a tight match where 1 goal might be enough to seal the gold medal.
