Chelsea started their defense of premier league title with the opening day fixture against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge this saturday evening. Chelsea playing at home took the lead through Oscar but Swansea were up for it and they made a game for themselves in a entertaining 2-2 draw where Courtois was sent off.

Chelsea [1 – 0] – Oscar scored with a lucky low strike at the far post which beat everyone and sneaked into the goal and Chelsea start their league campaign with a first goal at home. Gomis was a culprit as his sloppy tackle let Oscar away in first place.
Swansea City [ 1 – 1] – Andre Ayew scored from a close range to make the score 1-1 after Gomis header was saved by Chelesa keeper Courtois who could only manage a rebound which fell nicely for Ayew who made no mistake in putting the ball in the back of the net.
Chelesa [2 – 1] – Chelsea were in the lead in no time when Willian’s deflected cross went straight into Swansea goal as Chelsea rode their luck and scored what was a lucky goal in the end.
Swansea City [2 – 2] – Bafetimbi Gomis scored from the spot after referee awarded Swansea a penalty and gave Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois a straight red for reckless challenge on Gomis.
