McGregor vs Alvarez Official Weigh-in McGregor came in with the 154.4 pounds at the official weigh-in while Alvarez also hit just under the limit to 154.6 pounds. Below is the official video from the weigh-in.
Short Preview of the fight: Eddie Alvarez has been in the Mixed Martial Arts scene for best part of last 13 years and his superb record of 28 wins and 4 defeats speak for itself. McGregor has not been in the ring with anyone like Alvarez who can get into brawls and equally good from distance fight with his signature low kicks hall mark of his diverse weaponry. McGregor on the other hand will have to be cautious because of his wide fighting stance.
However McGregor left hand can cause all sorts of troubles for Alvarez if they were to get into war. McGregor has not used his signature “Front snap kick” in his recent fights mainly because he was busy fighting tall and physically imposing Nate Diaz but this kick can open up Alvarez defense for McGregor’s left hand.
