Liverpool having lost against Burnley in the premier league took on Burton Albion in the second round of English League Cup and they put up a show with Origi, Firmino scoring before the break while Tom Naylor scored an own goal to give Liverpool comfortable 3-0 lead after the break. Danial Sturridge came on as second half sub and he wasted little time in getting on scoresheet not once but twice inside 5 minutes. Watch full match highlights.

Jurgen Klopp was left extremely frustrated in the premier league game last weekend when Liverpool were rolled over by newly promoted Burnley side 2-0. We can expect number of changes for the EFL Cup game tonight with the likes of Divock Origi, Emre Can and new signings Joel Matip and Marko Grujic starting the game. Klopp also intend to keep several first time players in the lineup to get on the level of match fitness which is required for high pressing style Klopp is looking to deploy this season. Chelsea and Liverpool both failed to qualify for Europe and they have been drawn in the second round unlike the other premier league teams who will be playing in Europe.
Nigel Clough will be without several key players specially the John Mousinho while John Brayford is ineligible to play. Having said that, Burton Albion playing at home will provide stiffer test for Liverpool who will be playing their third consecutive game away from home and they have yet to play at Anfield this season.
Team News & Lineups:
Liverpool to lineup with Origi upfront while Coutinho and Firmino should start in attacking roles ahead of Wijnaldum, Can and Lallana. Matip to partner Lovren in central defense while Clyne and Moreno should play as full back. This is how I expect Liverpool to lineup on Tuesday night.
Sky sports will broadcast the game live in the UK and it will be available simultaneously alongside Chelsea vs Bristol Rovers clash. Looking at the squads of both teams, Liverpool should sail through Burton Albion and I expect a quality game from Liverpool in this one.
