Liverpool vs Sevilla Preview: Liverpool are coming into this game on the back of a terrible result in the hands of Manchester City when they lost 5-0 which might have major implications. Klopp now must decide whether to start with Philipe Coutinho who failed in his desire to move to a bigger club like Barcelona.
Sevilla on the other hand has started the season strong and will be hoping to produce similar result when these two last meet back in Europea League 2016 final. Sevilla came from a goal down to win third consecutive Europa League title.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool went into the Europa League final slightly favorites ahead of defending champions Sevilla and they got themselves a superb start with Sturridge scoring in first half after Liverpool dominated from the word go. They were more agile, pressed relentlessly but failed to add to scoreline which came back to haunt them as Sevilla put three past them in second half with Gameiro scoring just after the break while Coke added two in space of 6 minutes leaving Liverpool staring at second cup final defeat this season.
Sevilla found themselves a goal down in 35th minute when a superb strike by Sturridge outside of his foot found its way back in the net. But Sevilla had a plan and they executed it perfectly with a second half flourish. Top scorer Gameiro scored just after the break and Coke added two more to put Sevilla on their way to third consecutive Europa League title.

Sevilla who has won the last two Europa League titles in 2014 and 2015 had a strange old season in their native La Liga. They failed to finish in top 4 largely down to their terrible away form where they only accumulated 9 points and failed to win a single away game out of the 18 while their home form in the league was as good as anybody. Now they have a similar scenario to Liverpool if they were to play Champions League football next season.
Team News & Possible Lineups: Liverpool will be without Sakho and Skrtel which means Lovren and Toure are set to start in heart of defense while Moreno and Clyne will keep their places as full backs. Joe Allen has impressed in the last few outings, he is set to start alongside Can and Milner in the central midfield while Danial Sturridge, Lallana, Coutinho to play in attacking roles.
Predictions: Liverpool has overcame some quality teams in the last three rounds while Sevilla has had a favorable draw and Liverpool is their first big challenge on their way to the final. Both teams must win this game not only for some silverware but this is also their only chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season. I am expecting a tight game but this Liverpool has something about them since Klopp took over and I expect them to win this one by an odd goal.
