Liverpool took on Wolves in the FA Cup fourth round tie this Saturday which was a massive game for Liverpool’s season. Having got knocked out of EFL Cup in midweek, FA Cup was their only realistic chance of winning some silverware. But from the start they were under pressure as Wolves took the lead inside first minute thanks to a superb header by Stearman. Wolves looked dangerous on the counter attack when ever they had the ball and doubled their lead just before the break thanks to Andreas Weimann goal.

Jurgen Klopp post match interview:
Wolves are struggling at the bottom end of Championship table and on paper Liverpool will go into the game odds on favourite specially playing at home. However with fixture pile up in January, Jurgen Klopp has struggled to rotate the team and get result which has kind of left players fatigued. To make matters worse Liverpool are playing 3 matches in space of 7 days and that might prove to be a killer blow for Liverpool’s chances. Wolves on the other hand will give it a right go defending in numbers and try to frustrate Liverpool as much as they can.
Klopp is likely to use fringe players for this game considering they play Chelsea in the league game on Tuesday night, 31st January. Daniel Sturridge is likely to play upfront with Lucas Laiva given the chance to start in midfield while Joel Matip will be drafted in to get some match practice. This is how I expect both teams to lineup on Saturday.
Match Predictions: Wolverhampton might not be doing very well in the championship but they did beat Stoke City 2-0 at Bet365 stadium in the third round which was a very convincing performance by the Wolves. However playing in front of packed anfield crowd might be a bridge too far unless Liverpool do a Liverpool and choke at important time of the season. It will be a exciting game of a cup action which will have goals in it either way. I am going with a comfortable 3-0 win for Liverpool in this one.
