Spain 3-0 Turkey (Morata and Nolito goals put Spain in the knockouts)

June 17, 2016 By totalsportek2

Spain became the first team in the tournament to score more than 2 goals in a match. They absolutely hammered Turkey on every scale. Dominated possession and scored two quick goals before the break thanks to Morata and Nolito while they started the second half where they left off when Alvaro Morata tapped home from close range to pretty much end the contest. Turkey are not now almost knocked out from the competition and only a mircale can get them the third place finish.

So Turkey became the first team to get a hiding in European Championships after Spain produced one of the best performances of the tournament so far.

34′ 1 – 0 Alvaro Morata scored in 34th minute to put Spain 1-0 in lead.
37′ 2 – 0 Nolito made it 2-0 minutes later with a nicely taken finish.
48′ 3 – 0 Alvaro Morata tapped home from close range after David Alba squared the ball in the box.

Spain vs Turkey Highlights 2016 Euro
Defending Champions Spain has not lost a game in Euros since 2004 when Portugal got the better of them. Since than they have gone 13 games unbeaten winning two back to back European Championship and they can become the very first team in history to win 3 back to back major titles if they manage conquer europe this season. They will go into the game as odds on favourites against Turkish side who has been upbeat after their defeat against Croatia. Spain will get more of the ball and Turkey have to defend for most part. A draw in this game won’t harm either team’s chances of of qualification.

Expected Lineups: As far as the team news and lineups are concerned both camps are injury free and no suspensions to worry about. Spain coach Vincente Del Bosqu is likely to field the same starting lineup which took the field against Czech Republic while Turkey manager Fatih Terim is likely to make couple of chances. Here are the possible lineups for tonights game.

The game will be a late kickoff on Friday night, 17th June and it will start at around 20:00 uk time. ITV will have live coverage of the game in the UK and they start 30 minutes before with the build up. We have official ITV stream powered by Filmon and you can find the live action here. While if you missed the game live you can always tune in here for full match highlights after the game.

Predictions: If spain play the way they did in first game, Turkey has a massive task to get the better of 2012 and 2008 champions. Impetus is on Turkish side to come-out and force the play on Spain but its easier said than done. I am going with a easy Spain win in this one.
