Conor McGregor UFC Record $3 million purse, Nate Diaz $2m disclosed purse (Revealed)

August 21, 2016 By totalsportek2

Conor McGregor became the first UFC fighter to earn $3 million disclosed purse for his fight against Nate Diaz. Nate Diaz himself pocketed $2 million guaranteed. McGregor’s disclosed purse broke the record set by Brock Lesnar earlier in the year when he earned $2.5 million in fight against Mark Hunt..

McGregor vs Diaz 2 Purse payouts
McGregor vs Diaz 2 Purse: Dana White stated that it was hard to negotiate a rematch with Nate Diaz as he demanded higher purse and also refuse to fight on any other weight than 165lbs. In the first bout Nate Diaz got a guaranteed purse of $500,000 plus the $100,000 winning bonus and he has negotiated improved financial terms for the rematch taking his guaranteed earning to $2million while McGregor is set to make history with highest ever disclosed purse in UFC history of $3 million plus winning bonus and ppv share.

Conor McGregor will be making alot more than that with his tier based PPV share contract with UFC, depending on the PPV numbers he is expected to clear around $8 to $10 million from his nights work against Diaz.

FIGHTER DISCLOSED WIN BONUS PPV SHARE
Conor McGregor $3 million $100,000 McGregor’s tier based ppv share contract enable him to earn $3 to $5 for each ppv sold if final numbers reach 500,000 ppv buys. If UFC 202 does 1 million PPV buys, McGregor will earn around $5 million from PPV share.
Nate Diaz $2 million Nate Diaz will also get some PPV share but no way near what McGregor gets. he might clear around $1 million from PPV share.

Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz III ?
Both fighters expressed their desire for the trilogy to settle the score once it for all and we can expect the third fight between the two anytime next year. Third fight makes alot of sense for both fighters and for UFC as both UFC 196 and UFC 202 have been pretty solid as far as PPV numbers are concerned.

I wish Nate would walk into the ring take a knee walk out with his 1.5 million and never fight again. His heart won’t let him and his brain is so injured he can’t see it would be the right thing to do but after all the damage this job has caused him he deserves this check.

I totally agree. Huge amount of damage.

I like that he won but he is wrecked in the head. AT least he got a huge payday and now he needs to walk away. He probably won’t but hell he could do one title defense for a shit ton of bricks and then walk.

You can tell Conor like Nate as everyone likes Nate. Nate has always been a kick ass fighter and brings it every time. Nates boxing is on par if not better than Conor’s (without the power) and Nates Judo and ground game is way superior than Conor’s but Conor has that incredible knock out power Nate does not have. These two guy’s are both my favorites and i want them both to win, Nate deserves to get a good payday for once, he has been screwed over many times in that area for as much as he has done for the UFC!

so let us do what connard want, namely hating him. I loved it how he gave his back the first time, but nate turn him around for couple hits. the after the couple shots he gave him his back again like a bitch in heat. instead of effin him diaz just put him to sleep. Maybe connard must come out the closet already, it’s obvious he loves to give his back.

Why does it say Rafael Dos Anjos under “Fighter”? Also how can Dos Anjos be guaranteed 100K fight bonus? Was it written in stone that Dos Anjos would win and get the fight of the night and performance of the night bonus? Who wrote this?

  7. chairde says

Connor McGregor is smart. The real object of the fight game is to make as much money as possible and if that means trash talking then so be it. You don’t think Ali trash talked to Joe Frazer? We are talking millions of dollars even if you lose. Then come back again and trash talk to up the money. Oh by the way, many great fighters lose sometime, so what. Ali even admitted that he got the idea from Georgous George the famous and rich wrestler.

Nate got 3 bucks per ppv at least. This dude doesn’t know what the he’s talking about. It would have been a buck if it only cleared 500k ppv. It was over 1.5 million tho

I’d go for the underdog Diaz again. I currently prefer to see a rematch than to see Dos Anjos vs McGregor.
