Ahead of the 2016 Olympics to take place in Rio, Brazil England Athletics has signed a massive multiyear deal with New Balance (parent company of Warrior) which according to Chris Jones chief executive of England Athletics, is a massive investment going forward for all athletic category teams.
All disciplines of england athletics team will get new balance designed kits and the registered athletes with England athletics will get discount on equipment bought from New Balance. The contract details were not disclosed but it is believed that New Balance are going to invest substantial money in athletics leading up to the 2015 rio olympics.
New Balance has recently entered into different sports including football, they took over Liverpools shirt sponsorship while signed new kit deals with teams like Celtic, Sevilla, FC Porto and couple other high profile clubs around europe.
New Balance sold around $2.3 billion worth of products in 2014 and they are trying to penetrate in different sports markets since the turn of the year and this new apparel/kit sponsorship deal with England athletic will ensure new balance to get more exposure as every representative of england national athletic teams will wear kits designed by new balance.
