Liverpool has announced a three year extension in the shirt sponsorship deal with Standard Charted which will take the contract to 2018-19. Liverpool first signed the shirt sponsorship with british bank Standard Charted back in 2010 and the initial 6 year contract was worth £20 million per season. But the new extension will earn Liverpool £30 million per season.

Liverpool and standard charted have been in talks over the new deal for best part of last 6 months and finally both parties agreed on a 3 year extension with 50% increase in yearly cost which means now Liverpool will earn £30 million per season from 2016-17 season to 2018-19 season. 2015-16 season will be the last one with the old deal.
