Real Madrid Player Salaries 2018-19 (Contract Details Revealed)

August 3, 2018 By totalsportek2

Real Madrid are in the league of their own as far as recent success is concerned, 4 champions league titles and last 5 years and beating Barcelona to La Liga title in 2016-17 season wrapped up incredible few seasons for Madrid. However unlike the glactico era Real Madrid has kind of changed their philosophy as they no longer spend big money on established players. Going into the 2018-19 season the major impact will be Ronaldo’s departure from the club and appointment of new manager Julen Lopetegui. We take a look at entire Real Madrid squad contracts and player salaries in 2018-19 season.

Real Madrid are widely considered as the biggest club in the world and their recent success goes along way to justify the tag. However Florentino Perez will be gutted of losing the “Richest Club” tag to Manchester United who became the most valuable team in the world in 2017 and 2018. With the departure of Ronaldo, Madrid have some way to go as far as catching Manchester United in commercial aspects.

Real Madrid’s wage bill is lower than that of Barcelona but way ahead of any other spanish side. We can safely assume Madrid’s wage bill is set to decrease as have let go Cristiano Ronaldo and that free up a lot of wages. Madrid have only signed Vinícius Júnior (£40.5m), Álvaro Odriozola (£27m) and Andriy Lunin (£7.65m) so far in the summer transfer window. However one big name is expected to arrive at the club before the window shuts down with Hazard, Neymar and Lewandowski linked to the club.

Real Madrid Highest Paid Player:

  1. Cristiano Ronaldo has left the club after 9 highly successful seasons with the club as he joined Juventus for a record (£105m).  After Ronaldo’s departure Gareth Bale is the highest paid player in the squad with weekly salary of around £350,000 a week.
  2. Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Marco Asensio all signed new financially imroved deals in the last few months. Isco also signed highly lucrative contract with the club which will keep him with Real Madrid till 2022.

Nah! Real Madrid’s revenue last year was $660Million… and profit was $42 Million, that after they pay all their players and all other cost. Dont you think the players should deserve that money? Ronaldo alone sells over 1 million jerseys a year, lets says $50/Jersey. His salary a little over $20 million/year. He also brings fans to the stadiums, etc. Shouldnt he deserve that when he bring all that much revenue to Real?

He deserve it but jersey sale: the club only gets around 15-20% from jersey sales. They have already got the money in terms of sponsorship.

          January 27, 2016 at 8:37 pm

You are not making sense. If they don’t pay all this to the players they end up pocketing it. Who would you rather pocket all that money? Presidents? Clubs? Let the players have it they are the ones that solely sell jerseys and bring fans to stadiums. Do your research! Ronaldo for example sells over 1 million Jerseys/year for Real. That is just Jerseys. Lets say $50USD/jersey…. do the math. Doesnt he deserve all he makes even if not scoring (which he does even under-form)? Real Madrid in 2014 made $600 Million USD and after all the cost including what they pay players, they profited $45MIllion USD. Think about that!

U misunderstood my Fren…. They struggle their whole life to reach this level… How can you blame them?… Go to Google and search, how much CRonaldo & other players helps the needy people… And come back with some good comments… M sure you will…

      • Andre Santiago says

        January 27, 2016 at 8:29 pm

Totally agreed with you! It is definitely a lot of money, however, what people need to understand is that, if that money is not distributed between the players, it would stay in the clubs and presidents like Florentino and others will end up piling all that money. Fans will continue buying tickets and jerseys no matter what…. let that money go to the players that really deserve it not those sitting in VIP watching them sweat day after day.

Please talk with sense. That same guy you talk of is the most charitable athlete in the world. you are here saying and i quote “Millions of people die every year cuz of starve”… what have you done about it? the other (CR7) who assists the needy, have you thanked him or encouraged him? YET HE DOES. I hate the fact that people just try to condemn others even when there’s no need to. @Barca Barcaa Baaarca please look at the man in the mirror

Marcelo earning £100,000 per week with his quality contributions to Madrid in comparison with others in the squad, is not fair. He deserves to be in paid in the region of £150,000.
