West Ham United has signed a new shirt sponsorship deal with betting company BetWay and going into the Manchester United game this weekend their shirt will have the new sponsor logo. Their previous deal with Alpari was terminated as the company went bankrupt and West Ham were without a shirt sponsorship since January 16th. But this new sponsorship deal come at a good time and its a record breaking deal as well for the club as the new deal is worth around £6 million a year almost double what Alpari was paying West Ham United.

The new deal comes in place immediately with 1 a half year deal which will cover rest of this season as well as the full next season with an option to extend further one year.

This is not the first time when West Ham had troubles with their shirt sponsors, back in 2008 West Ham suffered the same fate with their shirt sponsor “travel company XL” which went bust after financial crises and West Ham had to get a new short term deal with new sponsor. But This new deal is coming at a good time for the club as next season they will be moving to their new home London Olympic stadium and this deal puts them into right condition moving forward.
