Liverpool current kit suppliers deal is with Warrior which was suppose to be from 2012-2018 a six year deal, but since parent company of Warrior called “New Balance” has set foot in football kit market as well as the football boots they are trying to get as many teams under their banner as possible. So Liverpools kit contract switch from Warrior to New balance was expected anyway.
Today Liverpool and New Balance officially announced the switch and disclosed how much the contract is worth which is whooping £25 million a year and could reach a total of around £300 million with entire packaging for additional merchandising.
The guaranteed yearly income for Liverpool with this contract is £25m per year but the only difference in the new deal is the fact that now New Balance will impose a few restrictions over Liverpool as they wont be able to control non-branded merchandising – products and wont be able to open any new stores of their own. But that is where the extra money comes which was not the case with Warrior kit deal.
CONTRACT | Yearly | Control | |
2015-2019 | £25m per year | New Balance has complete control over Liverpool Kit merchandise |
This is the new leak showing Liveprool New Balance kit to be used in 2015-16 season. All three kits leaks were released a month ago and the final product is likely to be same.
