Valencia resume their Spanish domestic league season after the 3 month pandemic layoff and they will be hoping to get into the top 6 positions in the league to ensure they play some European football next season.
However they are currently sitting 8 in the table with just 43 points off first 30 games that leave them with an uphill task and pretty much rule them out of Champions League places where they trail fourth placed Sevilla by 9 points. However Europa League places are up for grabs as Valencia are just 4 points behind 5th and 6th placed teams.
Valencia do have things in their own hands regarding Europa league finish as they play the other contenders like Athletic Bilbao, Sevilla and Villarreal in their final 8 games. A good run from now to end of the season will ensure Europa League place which is coveted highly this season considering extra cash which almost every club needs after Corona virus crisis.
